Karim Al-Zand: Music: Music Box Prelude
Music Box Prelude
for ensemble
Music Box Prelude is a short ‘opener’ written for a full concert program featuring a ‘Pierrot’ type instrumentation. The piece calls for each instrumentalist in turn to enter from the wings and add their part to a short repeating pattern. The music then gradually slows down until the music box stops. [No program note needed.]
