Toccata is a short and lively work for solo organ. In keeping with its title, the work has an animated and constantly-moving surface and its main thematic material develops from an energetic tune in 7/16 time.

Toccata was written for organist Grant Wareham and the Newberry Memorial Organ at Yale’s Woolsey Hall.
